Our story

Haishang was established in 2019 with the dual purpose of raising awareness of sustainable clothing choices, whilst celebrating Hong Kong’s natural beauty, something we are passionate about preserving.

It started at the Discovery Bay markets, then grew to Hollywood Road and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

We have created a range of Hong Kong inspired swim shorts made from recycled PET plastic, which uses an estimated 10 plastic bottles per pair.

Whilst this is a small contribution to the plastic pollution problem, we are encouraging better consumer choices via manufacture in small batches (to reduce waste), provision of keep-safe bags (to preserve the shorts and encourage slow fashion) and embedding sustainability into our culture, for example using recycled beach material where possible for our physical stores.
